Roark Family Cemetery
Osage Township
Section 2, Township 40 North, Range 13 West
Miller County, MO.
From Tuscumbia take highway
17 south across the River Bridge.
Shortly after the bridge you will come to the junction of highway 52 on
the left. Turn onto highway 52 and go
7.2 miles. At this point on the left
of you will be at an opening with wood on one side of the gate and metal on the
other. There is also an old cultivator
visible from the road. This gate is
also just west of an earth home. To
get to the cemetery you need to park your vehicle and walk northeasterly,
toward the river, for approximately .1.5 miles to the cemetery. This cemetery is on private property on the
old Clark place. This cemetery is
unkempt and in poor condition. If you
are coming out of St. Elizabeth the wooden/metal gate is 2.4 miles west of
state road PP.
This cemetery is no longer in use.
Personally inventoried by Dianna (Hale) Mattingly Vera (Clark) Strutton and Brenda (Boyd) Ewing – Sept. 2001
Since these died all in the same year it is possible that the cause may have been typhoid fever or something similar.
